# Self-hosting

This section runs RAGNA Studio on your own server, behind your own domains. For a quick local try-out, see the [Quickstart](/getting-started/quickstart).

## Requirements

- One Linux VM with Docker and Docker Compose. Images are multi-arch (amd64, arm64).
- About 8 GB RAM.
- Two DNS records pointing at the VM.
- Two S3-compatible buckets.
- One OAuth app (Google or Microsoft).
- At least one LLM API key.

Postgres 18 with pgvector and Redis ship in the compose file.

## The stack

| Service | Role |
| --- | --- |
| `frontend` | The web app, on port 3000 |
| `backend` | The API, on port 3010 |
| `worker` | Background jobs and scheduled workflows |
| `webbrowser` | Headless browser for agents that read web pages |
| `postgres` | Database, with pgvector |
| `redis` | Queues |
| `migrate` | Applies the schema on start, then exits |
| `seed` | Adds the model catalog and the default agent, then exits |

## Steps

1. **Install**

Get the code and start the stack. See [Installation](/self-hosting/installation).
2. **Configure**

Set domains, secrets and OAuth in [Configuration](/self-hosting/configuration), and buckets in [Storage](/self-hosting/storage).
3. **Expose**

Put a [reverse proxy](/self-hosting/reverse-proxy) with TLS in front of the app and the API.
4. **Extend**

Turn on [optional providers](/self-hosting/optional-providers) such as embeddings, image generation or email.
